Our International Camp Finder is a very curated collection of the best summer camps around the world, based on a carefully selected set of criteria. Some questions (but not all) questions we ask before we list a camp are:

• Would a predominately-English-speaking child be comfortable at this camp?

• Are there comprehensive safety standards set up at the camp?

• How does the camp deal with kids from different countries and cultures to make them all feel welcome and comfortable?

• Are the grounds/environment enriching, comfortable, and safe for kids who are used to American-style summer camps?

• How do the camp counselors (called "monitors" in many countries) interact with the kids and how are they trained?

• Does the ethos of the camp promote comfort, emotional support for campers, innovation/learning, and a sense of independence?
